Hi! I'm just a student of programming. I love learning. I know a decent amount of c++ and perl, and i've been able to make little simple bots for ffxi. I'd love to learn more, thanks.
nice to meet ya'll by the way.

Hi. I have found this forum while looking for scripting sites. I have an interest in learning how to make scripts for AutoIt3 and maybe a FFACT after I pick up the basics. All I really want to do is make a script to beat those Japanese people to the NMs.

I hope fact will be up soon as well. The new bots I've written are ready to go into testing, or will be within a few more functions and I really need several of the features of ffact, most notibly the item selected. Otherwise someone will have to write me a way to slow pixel search script to incorp....

Hell if ffact doesnt come back, I would be almost willing to write my own information gathering tool. The offsets for the data we want are posted in the FFACT forum. Using the source of FFXI Inside as a starting point, we could most likely get something working. I doubt it would be of the same quality as FFACT at first, but I have no doubt that some usable data could be extracted.

"Greetings. Although I suppose you could say I come from the RPG expert ffxi scripting forum, I don't believe I ever posted there. I guess I just did more reading and learning than begging and whining" Pretty much same goes for me. i don't know a thing about scripting but i find it interesting. by the way good job on whatever the popular fishbot was from ...RPGEXPERT keep those sick bots coming

Hello All,
I use to frequent the RPG Gamers Scripting mostly for ideas but I find most Forums have too much infantile posts for me to even bother registering to. This one sounded promising, so I signed up /smile .
I don't code much, but try a little so I will probably spend most of my time in the beginners forum /blush but I think this forum has the potential to help me learn and not read and /sigh
Well thanx for listening
WW

To use the Scripts Baily simply cut and paste the text into a new text file (example go to windows make a new text file open it and paste inside) then rename the text file (assuming you don't have file extensions hidden hehe) scriptname.au3 and ofcourse you have to have AutoIT installed ( www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/downloads.php ) Then with AutoIT running just run the script and away you go Good Luck WW just a question, when sum1 makes a script, do i just copy all of the text, and copy straight into word pad or sumthin? :S i looked about the tutorials and i am still lost ah well, i am sure i'll pick it up

Hello There,
Nice to meet you all, im kris.
im a complete novice at XI scripting but i have had some exposure to some botting on EVE, and some scripting in X2- The Threat.
Ideally id like some assistance with a fishing bot for XI, 1024x768 Overlay and Background 1024x1024! Especially easy atm given im only looking for one to use with a Sibiki Rig(sp?) for sardine catching to lvl my cooking
any help would of course be hugely appreciated.
once again nice to meet you guys.
kris

Finally decided to reg here...hey I'm on the majority of the other forums that have AC Tools (my native scripting "language") so why not here ^^; I've made a couple things...nothing too big or challenging to write...biggest one was probably this old hag!! forums.cameroncole.net/index.php?showtopic=3648&st=0entry29168And I'm currently working on, not necesarily a FFACT alternative, but more of a project to do while bored, for AC Tools...reads the memory directly and gets the values...

Yep I'm the newbie over in Rpgexpert who grabbed code from all the other coders, stashed it into my trusty ole Crimson Editor, kept the functions that i liked and acted like i knew what i was doing. I only have one thing posted on rpg though, about my auto attack code that just wont work. I will post it on here also. Hey Tiny are you a monk in FF man cause i notice your webpage is designed like the monk Artifact. Just a thought
