I was just wondering,will we need to have ffact or the read.dll available to lunar,or are they going to be in lunar itself(in some form)?Just curious because I have never been able to get the read.dll to work...The ffact based AT works like a champ,but I never did get the read.dll based AT working ; ;

Lunar will most likely be using a statically linked library for in process memory reads. This means that all the memory stuff that used to be done by FFXIRead will be compiled into lunar, requiring no extra dll's. This is only a temporary solution, but I'm pushing for the use of this method in all future releases of Lunar. I was never really happy with how much of a pain in the ass it was for novice users to get ffxiread to work properly. Everyone say thanks to starhawk for writing me some static libs for lunar

Oh si~ where would you post the Lunar thread, when it is released?
Good luck, and I hope you're not cursing yourself. I wanna see how that lunar platform functions!

Yes, you need to have the windower to be able to run lunar. You can feed Lunar commands through the FFXI console if you really want to, but I wouldn't recomend it. There are rumors that GM's can see you using /console.

target_GetStatus was giving me compiler problems. I'll give it another try for the next version. Why would I add a target ID function?

voke bots are the only thing that comes to mind, don't know if compairing ids would be faster than names.

I don't think this would be a really great idea. Lets just use names for now.

You would have a point with the voke bots, but what about for different NPC's. Like for quests for instance.
(I was intending to make a bot for bubblie bernie, but may as well record this for now)
Would the Name provide the same assistance as such though?
(Perhaps the Id's would take less time to check)
