Fish Fighter

[Rzn]

Fish Fighter is a fishing tool it simply fights the fish leaving you free to chat away.
Fish Fighter does NOT do everything for you, You must start fishing, cancel or reel in your catch, sort your inv. and fight your caught mobs.
Fish Fighter will never do these things.

Changed the status display and cleaned it up a bit
Fixed a loading crash(duno how)
Works with compact or full keyboard

--Install

1:
Download you may have to right click "save target is"
takemycrap.no-ip.org/

2:
unrar it to your lunar scripts folder (plugins\Lunar\scripts)

3:
start FF-XI, login and head to your favorite fishing hole.

4:
Press `(~) to open the windower console
In the console type "load Lunar" (without quotes)
if Lunar does not load make sure you have the Lunar.dll in your windower\plugins\ folder. If it's there and still doesn't load read the read-me that came with Lunar.

5:
once Lunar is loaded type ".lunar load FishFighter.lua"(no quotes).
if FishFighter loaded the console will say "Script loaded: FishFighterF.lua" If it gives a file not found go back to step 2: hit ` to close the console.

While Fish Fighter is idle you will see a hourglass on your screen when Fish Fighter goes in to fight mode you will see a fish on the screen.

7: Type /fish and wait when the fish health bar reaches zero press enter


--Macros

Fish Fighter is still a work in progress so sometimes if may mess up. i suggest making a panic macro like this


line 1: /con .Lunar unload FishFighter.lua
line 2: /con .Lunar load Panic.lua


Sometimes Fish Fighter will not unload and you will have to unload Lunar to clear it. If fish Fighter starts acting funny make sure you do not have two copies running at the same time.

--Notes
I have not tested the compact keyboard settings but they should work fine with the default FF-XI settings.

Please keep in mind Ver.0.01 is an alpha and does have bugs also CPU speeds very so the timing my be a little off from one PC to another.

If you would, I would like to see this script in lunar source. I would like to compliment your work, and I also wanna see how your FishFighter works in Lunar.

(I am in search of advanced scripts in LUA so I think anything can help with this subject area. If you don't wanna post it pubicly, please PM me I will not reveal the data.)

It's a file though, and it's .rar

I don't think I have an application that runs that thing, and it shows buncha funny stuff when I change the stem to .txt

I just beleive that is the file he has the FishFighter on it. No source attaced.

Oh si I tested it. I dont know if it goes by pixelcheck or by HookData, but it works fine. i think the load crash could have been caused (If my read ups on lua have been productive)

is when the FFXI windower is loading the data, it could have gotten the correct load, but tried to load a multiple file at the same time (Why I wouldn't know)

But Anyway, I dont know much about this lunar, it works pretty darn good.

It would be, is there a way to reproduce the keystrokes, prettymuch like in AutoIT, (I see the complexity in lua, and I think I could set up A much more complex script for another cause. ) But I think the command is : something like SendString. Could you clairify that?

I understand the syntax of lua, to a comprehensible level now, and I could see that it would be very useful to know the commands..... Is there a database of such commands, along with small script chunks with the function (Being demonstrated) in the chunk?

Just I wasnt talking about the functions for the FFXI console. I mean the whole sh-bam kind of thing, for the whole scripting language.

I would not ignore the work put in there.

control_SendString( String Send)

Sends a string to ffxi. This function is mostly used to send chat strings, and uses normal ascii characters. Note that anything sent in this way goes directly to the chat parser and is not typed into the console. For example, if the string “/echo Testing123” is sent, “Testing123” will appear in the chat log, but “/echo Testing123” will not.

Example usage: Control.control_SendString(“/echo testing 123!”)

Arguments: String Send: The character string to be sent to FFXI.

Return values: Returns true upon success and false upon failure. When this function returns false, the script will generate an error and terminate execution.
