eh? ever done hnm blm/smn and had to worry about a stun order and an aa order in addition to your normal duties? its easy to say 'anyone that knows what to watch...' but sometimes alot of things are happening at once and you miss it personally i would never use something that acted for me, but displaying useful info on the screen that i can react to if neccessary would always be helpful

I've been in situations that do stun orders. It depends on people taking turns on doing it right. With well executed strategies and people that know what they're doing as well as what to watch for, and yes, it is as easy done as said.
The code I posted for this could easily be modified to pop up an image or text object to alert the player. Just create the object beforehand and replace the trigger block with code that will display whatever object you made.
This is a saying I created a while ago: "If you want to play the game, play it." Basically saying, play the game, don't look around for bots to play it for you.

i agree. you're being stubborn on the point tho, what do you use lunar for if not to allow for more information to be shown to you?
and i wasn't arguing about code at all, i was saying it would be better not to automatically stun for you, to jes show if there was something you wanted to stun beacuse i found that idea overall more useful for everyone in any situation.
i'm against any sort of bot. anything that does an action for you that you can't do with macros, however mundane the task is.
stop picking fights over insignificant things and about how you play the game, anyone can spout the purist crap you've said, but it doesn't make you any better of a player.

what do you use lunar for if not to allow for more information to be shown to you? I use Lunar just like I use any other language I know. To expand my capabilities as a programmer, then use what I learn to assist others on coding in hope they gain a better understanding of how it works. i wasn't arguing about code at all, i was saying it would be better not to automatically stun for you, to jes show if there was something you wanted to stun beacuse i found that idea overall more useful for everyone in any situation. I was just saying where you can modify it if you want.. no argument intended, just information. i'm against any sort of bot. anything that does an action for you that you can't do with macros, however mundane the task is. The entire post (and the one before it) was, in fact, against use of the code I wrote. stop picking fights over insignificant things and about how you play the game, anyone can spout the purist crap you've said, but it doesn't make you any better of a player. I wasn't trying to pick a fight. I answered what you asked and added in what other factors affect performance.
I apologize and again in advance for the "I don't care anymore" attitude I've been in lately due to RL issues. I haven't even been on FFXI within the last month because of them. I usually think about what I'm saying before I post, but I've lost that ability for now. So... If I say something stupid, be sure to (/slap ) some sense back into me.
