This wouldnt be too bad. I would use FFACT to get coordinates and headings, then make a script that recorded them and played them back. I would say this would be a medium to advanced skill script to write.

should be a nice way to learn FFACT, the prototype i made which was just windhurst => tahronghi canyon worked fine, but i pain stakingly (sp?) wrote down how long i held each direction for and when to change etc.... I think it would be better and easier to use FFACT lol!

Time based navigation is a bit sketchy. There are plenty of things that can mess up the timing, like mobs or players getting in your way. I would look into FFACT and its position variables to set up a weighpoint based system.

I hope you remember your math classes because I have a beta version of a zoning bot for fishing (same concept as your bot) and it takes a bit of math.

What style of maths?? I like to think of myself as a good mathematician. I do Graph theory and set theory at university. Also we do a bit of algebra.
I guess it would be vector geometry for a bot?? Will A level knowledge of vectors be enough???

You have 2 points. Where you are and where you want to go. You have x and y which if you take the diffrence of the 2 you can plot a triangle(Right triangle). If you calculate the angle of the legs from the starting point you'll be able to use that as a heading. Keep inh mind you'll have to do a bit of coding to get all this done.
