Hey there, Just a thought, but if you look around in this Forum you'll see a lot of different projects in the works, as well as all the tools you'll need to take advantage of all this forum has to offer.. But like they told me when I first started, its best to look around... most of what you're talking about in your message is already in the works here... Look and learn I know I have !!

i know i have been using the AutoIT and have already wrote quite a few bots however it has come to my attention that there is better stuff than regular AutoIT and i have been looking around for quite awhile now i was just wondering what all programs would be best to use to accomplish what i am wanting, plus i have a slight pride issue in peiceing together others stuff a peice here a piece there. Kinda makes me feel like dr frankenstein grabbing pieces everywhere to create something and trying to call it my own. but thats just me i am just confused with all the posts as to what exactly would be best to write what i want. so i have been looking and learning

Well one excellent piece of help is Tiny's AutoTerror which is basically AutoIt with all the FFACT commands incorporated into it... As long as you're not using the GUI commands in AutoIt... AutoTerror makes your life a lot simpler and makes the scripts a lot faster All the info is in the AutoTerror section... Some good posts explain all the functions you can call inside of AutoTerror...

I have been trying out Tiny's new AutoTerror 0.3 test and i am wondering when he will have a list of the functions up for it so i can start learning it better. i know he can only get things done 1 at a time and that it is still a TEST version but i think he is doing a great job! also after using AutoIT i am still wondering what all i can utilize and how exactly i can write scripts that work utilizing it. (ie: what commands i can do away with and hat i can incorperate)

There is already a lits of functions up in the autoterror section. It is exactly the same as AT 0.2

ok this is where i was a little confused because in 1 of your posts it said something about in the 0.3 version eliminating the need for FFACT all together unless i am just reading it wrong. If so i can't imagine the commands for calling FFACT will be the same exactly.
so either 1. i'm not reading those posts correctly or 2. i am just not grasping something like an idiot lol.

No, you are doing fine. I didn't post any documentation with the new release, so its sorta my fault. All the changes to autoterror in 0.3 are backend only. FFXIRead.dll replaces all the functionality of FFACT by allowing autoterror to directly access FFXI. FFXIRead is made by the same guy that makes FFACT. In order to keep compatability with old AT scripts, none of the commands have or will change. They all behave exactly the same as the older versions, just a hell of a lot faster.
