si si~ Just Exactally How much does the log track? Every Keystroke you make? Or is it Way more general than that. EVERY keystroke you make would be rediclous, but it would be pretty kickass and would make So many keystroked easier to make.
Buutt.l.. I think I'm hoping too much for the keystrokes.

You will see. I don't do keylogging, because that would be a massive invasion of privacy and completely useless to me. Mostly its just a bunch of internal Lunar stuff that wont make a lick of sense to normal users.

Oh. Is there a different Parimeter to lunar Vs the rest of the computer? Because the privacy stuff never occurred to me.
Oh si and tiny, I wanted to know if I could spread lunar release around with some people I would happend to be an aquaintance of. Would that be Ok, or is it a little unstable still?

No, it wouldn't. Lets keep it close for now. Let me handle spreading the word.

Things have been a bit quiet around here, so I'll let you guys in on some of the stuff starhawk and I are working on for the next version of Lunar.
*Sound support: I'm looking into a few libraries the support sound playback. I would like to see the ability to play back mp3 audio in addition to wave sound effects. Right now, adding wave playback would be quick and easy. MP3 support is a little bit tougher, but shouldn't be too bad. You can expect at least wave playback in the next version.
*Multiple input device support: This would allow the use of more than one keyboard in Lunar. Why would anyone want more than one keyboard? Its pretty simple. While the main keyboard handles all the game controls and chatting as we currently know it, the second one acts like a giant programable macro pad. Want 100 scripted macros? No problem. All this requires is a second cheap USB keyboard. This feature is still in R&D, so it might not make it into the next version.
*New memory library: The current memory library FFXIRead.dll is old and doesn't really work well with Lunar. The interface code that holds it onto Lunar is a giant hack, and is responsible for alot of errors that occur. The new code being developed by starhawk right now is designed specifically to be used in windower plugins, and would get rid of all the hacks needed for ffxiread. It also supports recast timer data for the millions of people who have requested it.
*Revamped graphics library: The graphics functionality provided by the windower is a bit basic. Stuff like zooming and rotation are not supported. There is also a bug where text gets covered by primitives, making complex UI elements very hard to do. Starhawk and I have been talking on and off about reimplimenting the graphics stuff in Lunar, so that all of these problems are solved. Like the multiple input effort, this one is still in R&D.
If anyone thinks that they might be able to make a contribution to any of these sub projects, please let me know. I am looking for skilled C++ and directx programmers only.

Tiny, how is the recast data going to be returned to the user? The timer in memory? or a boolean for ready or no, or both? ^-^ Glad to see your makeing excelent progress. Keep it up!

Right now starhawk has it set up so that you hand the function a string, and it returns the number of seconds until the ability can be recast. There will also be some way to get a list of abilities that are not ready, so that they can be looked up.

I got a USB keyboard tonight to act as a second keyboard. I also found an easy way to fool windows into not detecting it as a keyboard. Having windows detect the new keyboard as a keyboard is a major problem because of the way directinput works. Tomorrow I'll work on code that talks to the 2nd keyboard. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

The next version of lunar is going to have some new user accessable features. I am going to need some help testing it. Even if your current version of lunar is working well (lucky you), I still need everyone to help test. The next build should be out saturday or sunday night. Hopefully saturday, so I can go outside and confirm my theory that other people actually exist apart from the internet -_-

And Confirm my theory that other people actually exist apart from the internet -_- That may be debateable. I'd test it for sure here. Oh, can you elaborate more on the direct input for the 2nd keyboard? I've been debating getting one myself.

... confirm my theory that other people actually exist apart from the internet -_- You mean there's a world out there other than what magically apears outside my bedroom door? Or that the voice that I listen to over the phone, supposedly my GF, isn't some pre-recorded message to keep my thoughts contained? Wow. Ok, I took that a little too far. I hate the sun, my eyes are really sensitive to light.
