Dunno why I'm asking this here, I guess its because if there isn't a way, you can give hints on making a way...
At any rate: Is there any way in FFXI to turn off abilities without doing the + + way? For Instance, if you wanted to take off your Blink, but nothing else, just by typing in a command, without going into the + + bars at the top and clicking it off ...
so like: /deactivate "Protect II"
I have a VERY distinct feeling that there wouldn't be a way, mainly because those little turn off bars at the top don't know if it's Protect I, II, III or IV... it just knows you have a Protect, a Shell, a Food item, a Bar-Ra spell, Haste... I dunno, you'd think there would be a way.
Sort of asking for a regular macro such as (not even a windower macro LOL): /recast "Sneak" /ma "Sneak" <me> /wait 3 /deactivate "Sneak" so it popps sneak off right as its re-casting.
or a cool Paladin macro: /recast "Berserk" /ja "Berserk" <me> /wait 1 /deactivate "Berserk" (that way Berserk is only used for its initial hate - I know it isn't much, but a good Paladin uses all his tools)
This would be a tough thing to do in a Lunar Script, There is an order to all of the spells, abilities, and status effects being up on the top, but other than deactivating them manually (automatically manually I guess LOL) and reading the chat log to see which went away, there isn't much of a way to know which icon is which without a window reader. (something to read the text on the screen, not just the incoming chat lines)

I could be wrong by missing something while scanning through every single command in FFXI, but as far as I've seen, there is no command that removes buffs off the player.

Ya, thats what I saw when I looked too.
Blast... The only way to do it (maybe not the ONLY way, but *a* way) I guess would be to change the windower code to read the text that appears when you highlight those options... lame... oh well, my dreams for world domination have come crashing down.
