I would like to make a script that I would load the second FFXI started to when it closed. It would not only show you the avg xp/hr and xp til level mobs til level...
But it records the actual data.
Every 15 minutes it records in a data file:
Total XP gained for that time.
Total Damage done in that time. (of other pt members)
Your Damage done in that time.
Skillups received in that time.
Money Spent in that time.
That way you can pull data on things like, In an average party, I do x% dmg, I get xp/hr, typical parties last x hours, Receive skillups at a rate of x/hr. Total time spent leveling, skilling up, questing, missions... everything.
This all came about when I pulled some data and figured out that at level 37 you're (experience wise) only 17.8761% to level 75.
True 1/2 way is actually 3325 xp into level 62.
3/4ths to 75 is actually level 69.67 (21662 xp into 69).
That's pretty disgusting - which is why most 70+ leveling sites have 900 people in them.
Also, the equilvant of getting one job to 75 and one job to 37 is the same as getting all 18 jobs to almost 21 (20.89) (which wouldn't work since you need one job to 30.... but still...) - So in reality if you have one job to 30 and all the other jobs to 1300 xp into level 20, you have gained the same amount of xp as one job to 37 and one to 75. So that's a lot of work.
Somebody that has all 18 jobs to 75, getting an average of 4000 xp/hr (pretty high - means you got 2000xp/hr parties as much as you got 6000 xp/hr parties), would need to play for 151 days straight - so 300 12 hour days dedicated completely to partying... And since he's leveling all the jobs it would probably be 400 days on top of that of searching for parties (factoring in the 100 days each sitting LFG on Dragoon and Drk)....
It would be pretty cool to have a group of 6 friends, all work at the same job (or no job), with the same hours, and same daily schedule that could dedicate a lot of time to eachother and figure out a way to get each of their jobs to 75. Would have to find 18 viable parties not using the same job for the same person twice.
At any rate. My name is Deathravin; I'm a math-aholic... I guess I'd like to see the true amount of time it would take to get a job from 1 to 75 - in and out of a party - looking for a group - skilling up - getting AF - Farming for equipment. I'm really curious about that stuff.
