I'm new to scripting, please help me =)

OK, I'm very new to scripting, in fact i only start about 7 hours ago (please forgive me) I've been looking through the forums and I've started working with Autoit, anyway, I've heard about a bot that can bid on items for you at the AH, anyway, i hear that it's nice polite to ask for someone to make you a script, so i want to make my own, anyway, i did start a code, but cannot get it to open my Japanese window, i would use the English one, but! the namechager plug-in seems to be down, and won't load, any help would be appreciated on what to do, or were to go from now, or at least a point in the right direction if you could, I'm posting this here, because i have very little time on my hands, I'm planning my wedding, so the time i have to relax is limited right now, so this script will take me a long time, as i have a next to nothing knowledge on scripting, someone please help me on what i could do, thank you everyone, BTW i love this site, it's really good!

Not to be rude or anything, but...

We don't deal with making bots here. Lunar and other scripting engines here are considered to only be used as UI elements.

okay, UI elements, can someone please give me any advice, it's all very appreciated, i may not be able to check back here for a few more days, so please, any and all help would be more than amazing, just something for a beginner to work on, i've looked as much as i can, and i'm very lost, this is quite complicating at first, and this seems a good place for the info, i need something to bid on items for me at the AH, not asking anyone to make me anything, that's not a good way to learn, i just want some help and maybe some positive replies, not just people who correct me

Located in my sig is a couple links to different documentation that would help with learning about the Lunar project. There's the Lua script engine that is litterally the core of the entire project. Then there is the loader and game interface into FFXI on top of that, which is Lunar itself.

This should be used at your own risk as Lunar is still in it's alpha stages. Also, many measures have been put into place to make coding of bots difficult.

If you really want an AH camping bot that bad, then have at it. Just don't expect much help here with it. I'm not trying to be mean, forum rules (3rd post).

okay yes, i do realise that the AH bot would give an un-fair disadvantage, well i'm finding it abnormally hard to get gil, i'm a drg for one, wich means i suck at farming anything, two my stuff never seems to seelf, even though i put them up for 10% less than the previous person paid, three notorious monsters take up alot more time than i have, i only get to pt once maybe twice a week, and it's gonna be this way for a while, so i'm looking for a fast and easy way to make gil, i have read and understood what will happen if i'm caught, and no offence, and really not to be nasty, i will deal with what happens, it'll completely be my fault, anyway, the last post, did offer me some great info, thankyou very much, i'm gonna go look into it more now, i might not be able to start anything as of yet, because i have to format my PC right now, so i won't be online at least til tomorrow, and final fantasy is definatly out of the question for a while, so thankyou, and i'll post again here when i have learned a little more

I know how it is to not be able to gain a decent income, but I make do with what I have. Mostly, now I just farm elemental clusters in areas nobody ever travel in, or I just go lvl something and maybe a good drop would come to me meanwhile. The gil you get from just fighting beastmen adds up after a while.

None of these methods will get you several mil in a day, but I've played the game just as-is. Sad to say, about 80% of the gil I've made was inherited from friends leaving the game or migrating to another server.

I also offered myself up for mercenary work, doing quests for people and such. I had this nice one though, solo'd the PLD AF2 for someone, paid me 1 mil. I also got another mil for soloing the entire 50 cap (The JP in that group gave me an extra stack of Shehei as well, lol).

sound cool, I'd go for rdm, but I'm having an all out leveling drg at the moment, i can use whm as sub to solo a couple of notorious monsters, but i don't have that much time on my hands, i do cap Serra a pugil nm in bibiki bay for volans graves, but the drop rate is absolutely terrible, I've killed it 24 times and got 2 drops, and that's pretty bad at 2 hours a time, there's not much else i can do, i have farmed a few elementals, but it's gonna take me forever to get what i need, i have sufficient gear for lvl 60, but not the best, i would like at least one assault earring, but on seraph server they're 1.2mil - 1.5mil at cheapest, everything is seriously over priced on it, at the moment i have 187k i think roughly, which isn't enough to buy anything for a lvl60, even pre lvl 10 armor adds up to like 30k now on seraph, it's getting more than a problem, I'm not looking to make millions a day, just a nice amount so i can get what i need, i have offered myself as a mercenary for nm camping before, but have never been offered anything but 100k for 2 hours work, and i know that is still pretty good, but not when i could camp the nm myself and get a mil, but at the minute my time is still seriously limited, until after the wedding, so I'm looking for an alternative way to make my Gil, just so i can buy gear that doesn't suck, like i said my gear is okay, but not great, i do get moaned at alot for having bad gear, my most expensive item was my Walkure Mask, those go for 500k cheapest on my server, i luckily bought mine for 200k with money i got from doing a garrison, but my garrison LS split, so i can't even do that anymore, this is getting long, so I'll end by saying, I'll check out the info from your previous post, and give it all a go, thanks again, and I'll post again here soon, when I've done some work

ahhh i jumped the gun on that one, i do know basically what to do, due to help from here, but i still cannot get it to work, i can set it so it goes into the auction house, and goes to the armor section, and i can even make it bid, but.....i don't know what to do, if there's none of the item in stock, because when it tried to bid, it completely screws up the pattern, any help on this matter would be appreciated, i'll paste what i have so far, the part that gets you into the body armor section of the AH, not i cannot figure out were to go from here, please help me on this part, i've looked and looked, and can't find what to do at all
