So here's something to think about. I have 2 computers, my Desktop and my Laptop. My desktop, the windower V2 does NOT work, but V1 does, and on my Laptop, windoer V2 DOES work, yet V1 does NOT. I'm interested in hearing theories on why that is, any thoughts are welcome, thanks.

Maybe different versions of directx? It could be that video card types effect how different windowers work.

This morning i decided to update DX on the desktop to the same as the one on the laptop (9.0c). Still doesnt work on the desktop, now its time to play with drivers i suppose.

niether versioin works for me i got all updated direct x and vid drivers
this is what i get.. on win98se system
pol starts... at splash screen error..
error box written as...

alright i just got the windower to work but when i'm on another window searching the web or something. when i move the mouse the game mouse cursor also move so it make me do things in game that im not trying to do, so is this the way it work or can i turn off the ability to play with the mouse in the game.
any help would be appreciated cause if this how it work then whats the point of useing a windower. i have windower ver. 2.1

try going to Start -> Programs -> Playonline -> Fianl Fantasy XI -> Final Fantasy XI Config
Go to the last tab and check the box which says: Use hardware cursor.
