 Hello people! I guess its best to introduce myself, since i'm in the community of FFXI scripters now  Played FFXI, for a year or more i guess.. One thing, this forum made me realise how cool computing is  , i've taken computing as a subject at school. I've only learnt the basics of C++. Pretty interesting i say. But never as interesting as after i saw how FFXI scripts are quite similar as some of the C++ things i've learnt so far. What can i say, THIS FORUM ROCKS! ;D I'm so glad to be in this forum. /wave to Tiny, thewhelk , and all the memberes in this forum.

Yeah, FFXI scripts are similar in form to very basic C++ programs. Its really cool that you are learning C++, as it is a very powerful language. I do most of my ffxi botting in C++ now, simply because autoit is not a very strong language.

autoit is not?  hmmm... then i got it wrong. I thought that it IS the key to scripting in ffxi (the only key, i thought ) but then.. is C++ is able create a loop on pressing specific buttons at the keyboard? hmmm...  clueless.. well, then that makes me another reason why i should study C++! hellyeah! thanks tiny btw.. almost all the new threads about introducing themselves have you as the first replier. I really appreciate that you're a great person ;D thanks! |

AutoIT is fine for scripting in FFXI, but not for much else. C++ is my first language, so I code most easily in it insted of autoit.
