First Timer

Hi there:

I would like to say that tinyterror is doing a great job at keeping this forum up and running. Thanks so much for your work and great resources.
I have been playing FF XI for a while til i got really frustrated seeing other ppl getting rich at the game. I wonder how it was possible to get all those items while i was barely getting by. Then I read about ppl using all sort of scripts with FF XI so I decided to give it a try. My reason for using scripts was to enjoy what the game had to offer without spending endless hours farming.
I always like programming since I can remember but i really do not much about it. I am a total noob at this. I know some html and php but that is about it.
I have a strong will and high motivation to learn all the I can so I really appreciate the help of anyone in this forum.
I have been reading a lot and just getting a feel of the forum so I ll try not to ask any stupid question and if I do I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge. Thats a lil bit about myself.

I'll let you know right up front that scripting won't get you rich quick. Its more about making tedious repeated actions easier. What you do with scripts is your business, but don't expect it to be a magic solution to your problems

Even the all-acclaimed fishbots, and the notorious Synthesis and Farming bots, won't make you all too rich in game. The people who are that rich have either invested in a craft, or live in their parents basement or something. Oh, or they're japanese retired people...

Thanks for the replies I feel kind of stupid for my comment . However I wanted to find out it there really was a bug on FFXI and people were taking advantage of it. So I guess I am back to farming and crafting but it s all good. Thank u so much for your comments and I ll think again before asking ...

Bugs in the game usually get fixed before any real damage can be done. And don't worry about asking questions. Nobody is going to get upset over things you say. The only thing that really gets me pissed is when people roll in and demand a bot of some sort without making any contribution to the forum. You didn't do that, so its all good.
