Can the current zone be gotten from the client? If so, I think this would be a useful addition to the command list(particularly for map overlay scripts).

Can the current zone be gotten from the client? If so, I think this would be a useful addition to the command list(particularly for map overlay scripts). From chat, when you zone, an entry pops up, "--- Area: <areaName> ---" For now, you can parse that line to get your zone name.

I think he is aware of that fact, its the future request forum I'm just saying that the client does know and a simple way for you get current area with the way Lunar is at this time. I know it's a future request part of the forum. Does that mean I can't post what you can do now to achieve the same result until the feature is implemented?

Parsing the chat usually causes a crash in lunar after x amount of time. So i understand why he wouldn't want to use that as an option.

One thing I thought was weak about ffassist map overlay was that you couldn't see other players on it. Another thing that would just kill (dynamis wink* wink*) is if you could set up a mimic of widescan on that too. Allowing it to display red dots over the map for monsters. The latter part might be over the top though : P
