Im pretty new to scripting language. My wife says it isn't much different from html or java. I still can't seem to grasp it.

I hope that I can get some Tutoring, Hoping I can give back to the community what I learn and do.

Go ahead and take a look at the tutorials I have in the beginners area. AutoIT is somewhere between HTML and Java in terms of learning curve, but its still really easy. Welcome to the forum!

???Ok i love this site! But i just started to learn scripting on my own yesterday. But i did make a script for a /tell recived. I am from the Leviathan server, RDM41/BLM18 36days of play time it isnt my only job ^^ anyways TinyTerror i would like you to fix this script and tell me if i was anywhere near close to having it right.

Well? I dont think it will work mabey with some tweeking but i started yesterday! So is that good for only starting yesterday? Thank you. I just need to see what i did wrong so i can make a cool voke bot and i dont have the PixelGetColor because i dont know how. Thank you!

Hello all! My name is Ashitaka (yeah i know, over used but hell I love Mononoke ^^) I'm brand new to coding, but have been looking over script. I have a friend who programs robots in C and she will be helping me in the future. Anyone who wants to take a quick learning n00b under their wing, just let me know, i'm very eager to learn^^! I do have experience with modeling if anyone needs help. I fair at using 3Dmax6 & 7 (Dosn't have a lot to do with scripting but just for everyones information) I'm real excited about learning to code, its very interesting problem solving is my idea of a good time O.o

Ashitaka welcome to the tiny board I swear we are all noobs >.> Id sugest to you to download Autoit and look though the help file first. if you want a example of simi good code just download any of the scripts on this board and start off learning to modify them thats the easiest way to learn

Hello i am Spinehawk... i'm just saying hi.. and i've been seeing most of the AutoIT stuff for FFXI... just made me one for curing with a Low lvl RDM... and i hope to make a fishing one too... i have some ideas for a low lvl combat bot too... where he stays in one area.. and racks in XP one EP at a time... But that is just an idea don't know if i'll pursue it.. anywho... thanx for the info so far.. hopefully i can be of help to anyone.. i'm still kinda new to the whole scripting thing since FFXI is my first MMORPG but anywho.. hope to see you on the fourms.. and take care!

Hey Guys.... I already posted couple of messages without first posting in the welcome section... I hope I won't get a beating for that.. LOL... Anyways everyone on FFXI calls me the old fart playing... i'm 36 been playing FFXI type games for years... I studied programming in highschool ages ago and most of the stuff we learned back then is now useless... And i've recently re-discovered an interest in programming...

Starting with scripts I guess is a logical choice... Combining my love for the games with some useful tools.. Anyways I will ask stupid questions that's for sure... But I am here to learn and contribute whatever I can...

I'd like to say a BIG Thanks to Tiny for running this place, and all the others that have posted stuff that helps people like me understand all this !!!

The only people who get beatings here are the ones who roll in, register, and then ask for scripts without making any effort to read or learn. I really can't stand those people.

Anyway, alot of this stuff follows the same basic concepts of programming that were the same 20 years ago. You shouldn't have a problem.

Hello all! Started reading these forums a few days ago when the campus packet shaper started acting up again and isn't letting me on the game in my dorm. Decided I should go ahead and sign up so I can contribute.^^

Am an up and coming CS major, and have worked with C++ for about 4-5 years now, and have been programming and scripting much longer than that.

Welcome to the forum.

I graduated from college last august with a CS degree. It's great to get readers here that are experienced coders. I have about 6 or 7 years of C++, and a couple of years of java under my belt. If you find FFXI scripting interesting, you might want to take a look at FFACT and autoterror.

Anyway, good to have you here.
